iPhone 5 Update
As most of you have probably read somewhere, the iPhone 5 has started shipping. Pre-orders started last Friday at 12:01 AM Pacific Standard Time and now the first customers are receiving there new extraordinary iPhone 5. I think that the best way to explain how wonderful the iPhone 5 is is how CEO of Apple Tim Cook put it saying "The iPhone 5 is the biggest thing to happen to the iPhone since iPhone." Meaning that this is the biggest leap forward for the iPhone in a long line of big leaps.
If you are wondering how this new iPhone is different from all the previous iPhones and why you should update, here are a few things of the many new features on the new iPhone 5.
If you are wondering how this new iPhone is different from all the previous iPhones and why you should update, here are a few things of the many new features on the new iPhone 5.
New Apple A6 processor
The new Apple A6 processor is 2x as fast as the older A5 processor in the iPhone 4s and it also is custom designed to be power efficient without sacrificing computing power.
iPhone 5 is 18% thiner and 20% lighter
Brilliant 4" Retina display
This is the 1st time since the very first iPhone were the screen size has changed. The screen has only gotten taller not wider so that you can still fit the phone comfortably in your hand.
Ultrafast Wireless including 4G LTE
4G LTE is the fastest wireless technology out there today, but sucks up a lot of battery in all phones except the iPhone thanks to the Apple hardware team working so hard! :)
Enhanced 8-megipixal iSight camera
The new iSight camera on the iPhone 5 has a sapphire lens cover so that all of your photos(including your Panorama photos) are crystal clear and very sharp.
An 80% smaller dock connector
The new dock connector is 80% smaller, reversible, faster and more durable than the old 30-pin connectors. If you have an older 30 pin connector for your speaker or something, you can buy an adapter that connects to the old 30 pin docks and the new Lightning adapter on all mobile Apple devices from here on out for $30.
iOS 6:
iOS 6 is Apple's brand new mobile operating system for the iPad, iPod Touch and of course the iPhone. With the iOS 6 update that was released on Wednesday the 19th, the iPhone can do a whole lot more. With the new Passbook app all of your movie tickets, boarding passes, store cards, gift cars, sporting event tickets and coupons are all stored in one place. Also coming to iOS 6 is a brand new feature for the camera called Panorama mode were by pressing a button and moving your device, you can take a panorama shot. Those are just two of over 200 new feature on iOS 6. FYI: the iPhone 5 will ship with iOS 6 pre-installed.
